Early this morning, for not quite a full minute, I stared at the still fan above my head. It is significant because I only saw one fan instead of the usual two or three fans! Granted, it only lasted less than a minute, but I was aware of every second. I lay very very still. And then it was over. My double vision was back, but that less than a minute gave me hope… ...

The stroke was one month ago today. It woke me up with fireworks in my right eye. I didn’t know it at the time, but it also diminished the vision in left eye. It seems a lot longer than a month! One of these days, when I can see a little better than I can now, I will write about everything I’ve learned… ...

Beau is never far from my side. I wonder what he thought when I was in the hospital for two weeks + two days. Do dogs have a concept of time? I was so glad to see him! He is not a fan of the patch on my eye and seems to realize something is wrong. Dogs are so incredibly smart. ...

Taking a much needed break from packing (we`re moving to Chicago!). These pics were done with Lensa (which deletes your photos afterwards). I wish I were more like the first one. She looks like she could handle anything just fine! Truthfully, for most of these, you would have to turn the clock and the calendar way back! ;-) ...

We have sold our home in the country. The one with the magnificent sunsets. We have purchased a condo in a lovely, treed, Chicago neighborhood. The best thing of all - we will be one block from two little granddaughters, 9 and 11 years old, on the same side of the street! I see lots of baking, sewing, quilting and doing crafts together in our sweet future! ...

A view of our backyard and the farm just behind us. This year they are growing corn. Next year, soybeans. Sadly, you can see all the trees we have lost due to the Emerald Ash Bore. Doug has cut down about 15 trees and is hiring the rest done. He has turned the trees into firewood for the Jester Park campers! ...
